2. Academic Setup & Currency
Define the foundational accounting and academic timelines.
- Current Session: Select the active Academic Session (e.g., 2024-2025). This globally switches all dashboard data to the selected year.
- Currency: Set your active Currency Code and Currency Symbol (e.g., USD, $).
- Timezone & Date Format: Set the local timezone to ensure accurate attendance and SMS delivery timestamps.
- Fee Receipt Template: Select the default HTML template to be used when generating PDF fee receipts for parents.
3. Dashboard Design & Themes
Customize the look and feel of the administrative panel. The Superadmin dictates which premium themes you have access to.
Available UI Themes
Select a layout that fits your school's vibe from the "Dashboard Style" dropdown:
- Classic Dashboard: Traditional, data-dense layout.
- Action V2 (Clean/Colorful): Minimalist, whitespace-heavy modern UI.
- Action V3 (Smart Auto-Arrange): AI-driven widget arrangement.
- Mac OS Style: Clean, glassmorphism aesthetics.
- Analytics Pro: Chart-heavy view for data-driven decisions.

4. Core Security & Constraints
Manage system-wide security toggles.
- Maintenance Mode: Toggle this ON to lock out all students, parents, and non-admin staff temporarily.
- Master OTP: Configure a 6-digit Master OTP. This acts as an emergency bypass if SMS gateways fail during login.
- Enable OTP: Toggle whether 2-Factor Authentication is required for high-level staff actions (if enabled by Superadmin).
5. Biometric Integration Keys
If your school utilizes hardware biometric scanners for attendance, you can manage secure connections here.
- Locate the Biometric Settings pane on the settings page.
- Set the Attendance Method to "Biometric" (instead of "Manual").
- If your connection is compromised, click Regenerate API Key to instantiate a new 32-character secure endpoint key. You will need to update this key on your local sync utility.

Do's and Don'ts
| Do's | Don'ts |
|---|---|
| Double-check your Signature upload, as it appears on live Marksheets. | Share the Master OTP with standard teachers. |
| Change the "Active Session" carefully at the start of a new academic year. | Regenerate Biometric API keys during active clocking hours, as it will disrupt live syncs. |
